Diego Trigo Araujo
I am a high school student from São Paulo, Brazil, interested in the intersection of computer science and mathematics.
I like understanding systems from first principles and turning mathematical or computational ideas into software, robots, and physical experiments. My current interests include algorithms, graph theory, optimization, systems programming, embedded systems, simulation, robotics, and aerospace applications.

Main project
ORBIT-Lab — CubeSat Attitude-Control Testbed
A low-cost hardware-in-the-loop platform for testing the attitude-control systems of 1U CubeSats. It combines mathematical and physical modeling, simulation, reaction wheels, sensors, embedded software, and accessible fabrication.
Selected work
- Braess Paradox Computational Research — graph theory and traffic-assignment optimization applied to a real São José dos Campos road network.
- Rosetta 6502 — a cycle-accurate MOS 6502 virtual machine written in C, first built in 2023.
- TEMPO 11 — I developed an air-quality risk platform using NASA TEMPO satellite data; it was selected as a NASA Space Apps Global Nominee.
A short version of my story
I was born on January 4, 2010, in São Paulo, SP, and moved to Guarulhos when I was young. Minecraft first pulled me toward computers: in 2016, I opened a YouTube channel for builds, maps, and tutorials. Wanting to create my own mods eventually turned playing into programming.
From 2021 onward, online communities, ETEC, technology events, and hackathons gave that curiosity a direction and a community. In 2026, the path led to a full scholarship at Instituto Alpha Lumen and a move to São José dos Campos. Read the visual story →
Teams and beyond
I lead programming for AlphaBots #1860, help organize student hackathons through Hack-SP, create robotics material, contribute to programming communities, and study rock guitar. These experiences live on the Extras page.
